We are an IPAF Accredited Training company providing IPAF training courses for all types of powered access platforms including Scissor Lift training, Cherry Picker training, Static and Mobile booms, Static and Vertical platforms, and Specialist Internal and Narrow Access Platforms.

Health and safety legislation requires you wear a full body harness with a short lanyard in ‘boom’ type access platforms (MEWPs). This half day theory course will instruct you on how to identify and select the correct type of harness, and of its safe inspection and use.

Static Vertical (1a, 1a+): Vertical personnel platforms (static)

Static Boom (1b, 1b+): Self-propelled booms (outriggers), trailers/push-arounds, vehicle-mounted platforms

Mobile Vertical (3a, 3a+): Scissor lifts, vertical personnel platforms (mobile)

Mobile Boom (3b, 3b+): Self-propelled booms

Push Around Vertical (PAV): Push around verticals

MEWPs for Managers is an essential one day IPAF training programme instructing managers on the responsibilities and knowledge they require to deal with the constantly changing demands related to working at height on site and the use of MEWPs.

This IPAF Course provides training for the safe loading and unloading of MEWPs on beavertail and slide bed transport vehicles. Loading and unloading should be carried out by trained staff who are aware of the risks involved. Drivers should also be aware of the additional risk of the load, or part of the load, moving when the vehicle is being driven. This applies to all vehicles and to all types of load. The driver is ultimately responsible for the load carried on their vehicle, whether or not they were involved in the securing of the load.

The IPAF demonstrator course provides instruction for an experienced operator to familiarise other IPAF trained operators on MEWPs which have characteristics that differ significantly from their previous training i.e. (weight, height, width, length, limitations or complexity). This course is suitable for those who need to deliver hand-over demonstrations (basic instruction) for MEWPs.

Those who successfully complete IPAF training are awarded the PAL Card (Powered Access Licence), the most widely held and recognised proof of training for platform operators. The PAL Card is valid for five years and shows the machine categories that the operator has been trained in. It also features the holder’s photo and signature and can be verified by calling IPAF.
